Samsung Announced The Black Pearl Color Variant Of Its Galaxy S7 Edge

Samsung has just announced a new colour option for its successful Galaxy S7 Edge smartphone. The company has introduced brand new Black Pearl variants – giving its customers a total of seven colour variants to choose from. The new color will be exclusive to 128GB models of the handset, and available started December 9.

‘The new Black Pearl Galaxy S7 edge follows the Blue Coral and Pink Gold editions released earlier this year,’ the technology giant said in a press release. ‘While those were largely inspired by natural hues, calming, Black Pearl was designed to be modern and striking.’

This means that the Galaxy S7 Edge is now available in to Black Onyx, Gold Platinum and White Pearl, Silver Titanium, Blue Coral, and Pink Gold, and Black Pearl in different markets. This Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge smartphone was launched at MWC last year.

If you are wondering what the difference is between Black Onyx and this new Black Pearl S7 Edge, it is full-body black design which includes the metal edges. By comparison, the Black Onyx model is features silver trim. Samsung states the Black Pearl coloring gives more depth to the back glass that ‘captures the essence of the color in its purest form’ and ‘radiates quality and luxury’.

This is the same approach taken by Apple with the jet black iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, that’s also only available with 128GB or more of internal memory. The two color schemes are very similar, each going for a polished, minimalist all-black device. Here it is broken up only by the Samsung logo, and it certainly has plenty of the stealthy coolness in the pictures. Samsung’s other black Galaxy S7 Edge, named black onyx, is less glossy.

Not all of the colour opt for the S7 Edge will be available in every market.

In fact, Samsung hasn’t revealed which ‘select markets’ will stock the Black Pearl colour.
