What is SAS 70?
September 13th 2008 06:18
SAS 70 is an auditing statement that specifically references how auditors are supposed to look at data centre operations. An auditing statement is a set of guidelines used by auditors when working with different companies.
There are a number of different auditing statements around that deal with different parts of the economy, but SAS 70 has become the standard auditing statement for dealing with companies that are not publicly traded and have been defined as service organizations. SAS 70 stands for Statement on Auditing Standards Number 70: Service Organizations.
