The Roundup of Laptops Industry in 2008!

December 27th 2008 07:06
Times flying by and the year, 2008 will be officially ended in less than five days. Although some said that 2008 is another year that full with catastrophes and disasters, but it's also one of the best years for science and technology advancement (Honestly, I thought that the Svalbard Global Seed Vault that has been opened on February 26, 2008 is one of the most spectacular and meaningful technology that I had ever heard!)

Although the financial turbulence violating all around the world and causing some chaos (economy crisis), but it seems that the computers and laptops market didn't have big effect on it.

According to the latest survey, the total laptops sales increased steadily throughout the 2008, and the laptops' sales rate is as almost tight with desktop computer. This has proven that the economy crisis has less effect on the computers/laptops industry.

Another interesting fact from the survey was over 64.5 percent of laptop users found that the 17 inch laptop is the idea size of laptop. Hence, the 17 laptop is the most popular choice instead of the 15 inch and 19 inch laptops.

By the way, do you know which the top three best cheap laptops are in 2008? I'm going to reveal the mystery here...

No.1: Dell Vostro 1500 (Bravo for Dell!)
This Dell series is usually costing you around $500.00. Some users described it as the “ugly duckling”. It is weight about 7 pounds and has a 15.4 inch screen.

No.2: Dell Latitude D630 (Cheer for Dell again!)
Of course, this series has a nicer look and a lighter weight than Dell Vostro 1500, where it only weighs about 4.5 pounds!

No.3: Asus Eee PC 4G (Please make some noise for it!)
With the price tag of $350.00, it’s the cheapest laptops in the top three list! However, you won’t consider to buy it, if you’re not into the small 7 inch tiny display screen, as it could be a torture to spending your time looking on the tiny display screen all day long.

Intel, as one of the world’s largest and well-known semiconductor companies, has been predicted that the 2009 would be another more challenging world for laptop. Paul Otellini, the CEO of Intel has mentioned that by 2009, the laptops will be surpassed desktops sales rate.

Furthermore, some experts have also said that there will be more spectacular features to be added onto the laptop 2009 as well!

I'm very happy with my new Dell Inspiron, with vista, even though it caused me some trauma at first.

Nice post. I've been using laptops to replace desktops for around six years.

I've gone through two Inspiron models, a Dell 5100 and my current Dell 6000.

Dell's have been Good to OK in my opinion, I use my machines around 4-6 hours a day. I've just discovered a major flaw with the Inspiron 6000, the powerboard, where the AC adaptor connects fails with time.

With the range of cheap netbooks out, I'm changing my approach. I'm going to build a decent gaming desktop with a nice 22-inch screen, spend around $1500 - then purchase a netbook for around $300.

For the same price as a new model laptop, I'll have a cutting edge system, a top notch monitor and a netbook for email and internet when I'm on the go.

Katyzzz: I'm always have a good rating for Dell's desktop/laptop, Katyzzz and I'm happy you loved your Dell Inspiron

Glen: Good to hear it, Glen. Honestly, my friend that is currently using the Inspiron 6000, having the same problem as you did. He had tried to figure out the problem and I will let you know, if there any new information about it...

Thanks for the comments, guys
