The Kite-like Flying Turbines Would Light up the Cities In The Future!
July 10th 2010 02:27
Many people have been very concerned about the global warming matter, as some of the geologists and climatologists predicted that the Greenland’s icebergs would be completely melted down or ice free by 2015!
Day after day, the governments, organizations and NGOs have tried to figure out the best way to reduce the carbon offset, which is to be known one of the main causes of the global warming!
After 28 years of researching and experimenting, the research team from the Carnegie Institution and California State University had compiled the world’s first-ever kite-like turbine.
According to the research team, they’ve identified New York City as the prime location for exploiting high-altitude winds. Beside that, they discovered that the Eastern United States and East Asia are also the best locations for harvesting clean and pollution free wind energy!
Have a closer look on the above figure. The kite-like turbines are going to be placed in the suburb areas of New York. Each of the kite-like turbines is able to generate up to 40 megawatts of electricity per day!
The big cities in all around the world are going to be constructed with this type of kite-like turbines sooner or later…
