About the history of Blu-Ray Disc, the first DVR Blue Prototypes were been demonstrated at the CEATEC exhibition in October 2000. However, the first prototype cannot withstand to any scratches and it had to be enclosed in plastic cartridges for protection. The first consumer Blu-Ray devices was released on April 10, 2003 and this device was the Sony BDZ-S77. The retail price at that moment is very costly, as the consumers need to pay $3,800 for it!
Due to the large capacity and high definition, some experts predicted that Blu-Ray players would soon become a popular item in many household.

To be honest, at the very beginning, he was a little bit skeptical about the player, but after a few days of testing, he found out that the Blu-Ray Disc Player is hundred times better than his old-fashioned DVD player is! With the 108p/24 playback, JPEG photo playback and progressive scanning features, making Tony loved this little buddy more than his was expected!
He told me that with the ultra large 50GB or up to 400GB of Blu-Ray Discs, now he could enjoy more quality times with his family watching to their favorite movies…
