The Important of Medical Software in Our Daily Life!

October 1st 2009 06:03
The technology has brought a lot of transformation and improvement to our daily life. Thanks to the common use of computers and internet, many spectacular inventions have been created in the past few decades.

Well, one of the fabulous inventions is has to be the medical software. Oh, I heard someone said, “You must be kidding me, what’s so special about the medical software?” Honestly, it’s not a very superb thing, like the space shuttles or robots, which is costing over millions or billions of dollars to do the experiments/research on it. However, medical software is still a proud invention in the technology field, as it’s a useful device that helps monitor or control patients by software!

Basically, the medical software can be classified into five main types:

1. Monitors – It uses software to interpret the sensor information and display the data on a monitor. Those data that being displayed including one person’s heart rate, blood pressure, breathing rate and others.
2. Analysis – It measures the data (Mostly from the CAT scanners) and interprets the data to a simple form that can be easily read by public.
3. Therapy delivery – It provides fault-tolerant, real-time monitoring of cardiac rhythms of the patient’s.
4. Medical and heathcare educational software – The healthcare professionals and trainees normally used the software for study purpose.
5. EHR software – EHR is the short acronym for Electronic Health Record software. It’s an automated practice management systems, which is well-designed to record the patients routine clinical and financial conditions.

Talking about EHR, it enables a person to record into it, including the his/her past and present medical history, laboratory results, medical prescription, etc. By keeping all the important health data in the digital form, it allows you to carry the data to anywhere you go. It’s totally an advanced method to record it with old-fashioned pen and paper style!

Frankly, I’ve already kept all my family members health data using the EHR system, I think you should give it a shot as well!
