Garmin Aviation GPS – The Useful Gadgets For All People!

April 21st 2009 09:36
Nowadays, the technology has been advancing into another level, where there are some new interesting inventions, such as Virus-built battery, medical micro-robots, nano-sized contact lenses and so on.

As one of the technology fans, I always tried my best to collect the latest technology information from all around world (Honestly, I’m a techno-geek and I’m proud to become a geek! lol). Believe it or not, everyday there are over hundreds of new technology items launch on the market. It’s pretty hard to coverage the entire new stuffs. Hence, I’m mostly picked up the most useful gadgets and introduce it to my beloved readers!

Ok, I assumed that all of you here at least heard about this word, “GPS” more than once or more. The point is, do you really understand about the word “GPS”?

For your information, GPS is the short form of “Global Positioning System”, where is a global navigation satellite system. Do you know that the United States Department of Defense develops the GPS? In 1993, it’s started to become fully operational to worldwide.

Normally, GPS is being used in map-making, scientific tasks, or even aviation. Talking about the aviation, my friend, Danny had just bought a garmin aviation GPS. He’s a professional aviator, where he love to spend his free time flying with the propeller aircraft. Since the propeller aircraft’s system navigator is quite old and inaccurate, he has to substitute it with the brand new garmin aviation GPS.

Frankly, he had invited me to have a ride on his aircraft last Sunday. I was quite excited, as I never had the chance to ride on personal aircraft before! (By the way, Danny also invited my girlfriend as well, but she’s afraid of height! I’m sorry, honey.) During the journey, Danny showed me how to use the garmin avionics to locate the exactly position on the Earth, even we’re thousand feet above the sky!

Danny said that the garmin avionics are essential, especially for those that want to search for the location, but have no idea where to find it! This is going to be a very useful gadget for everyone.

I have had spent a very wonderful and unforgettable Sunday’s morning. Thanks for the ride, Danny and you should keep flying high up to the sky!
